Government Grants for Manufacturing

Manufacturers access funding through the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP), Department of Defense industrial-base programs, CHIPS Act semiconductor incentives, and clean-manufacturing grants, along with defense and federal supply contracts. Reshoring and supply-chain resilience are current priorities.

Funding and incentives

The NIST MEP program supports small and mid-sized manufacturers with services and cost-share. The CHIPS Act funds semiconductor manufacturing and R&D. DOD invests in the defense industrial base, and IRA/DOE programs fund clean and advanced manufacturing.
